Doubt started to creep in, and I began feeling unconfident and a little down. The time gap in my CV seemed to magnify the uncertainties, leaving me perplexed about the reasons behind it all.
It led me to ponder the preferences of employers in Germany. Did they value work experience over fancy degrees? And were they more inclined towards younger applicants? It didn’t help that I had taken a break from work during my time in America and had been on maternity leave.
